Washington, DC athletic conference transforms IT with E-N Computers’ onsite visits and preventative service
When Martha Perez took over finance at Atlantic 10, IT tickets clogged her inbox, equipment lifecycles were a mystery, and no one had a plan for cybersecurity. That all changed when E-N Computers came on board.
The key difference was E-N Computers’ hands-on approach.
“The thing that sold me is the monthly visit, because we never had that before,” Perez said. “There’s just some things that are better in person.”
The team started sending a technician on site every single month to check in, resolve small issues before they turned into big problems, and make sure everything was up to date.
During these visits, E-N Computers’ team reviews service tickets and performs health checks on computers and network equipment.
Monthly account reviews became a cornerstone of the new partnership. Perez meets regularly with Technical Account Manager Kevin Griffith, Administrative Account Manager Amy Birckhead, Network & System Engineer Henry Rice, and other team members to review open tickets, plan upcoming projects, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
“That gives me peace of mind,” Perez said, “because at least once a month, we’re all looking at our account, making sure nothing is falling through the cracks.”
This proactive approach has made a huge difference. Instead of reacting to problems when they arise, E-N Computers finds and fixes issues early. They’ve implemented a clear hardware replacement schedule, addressed cybersecurity weaknesses, and cut Microsoft license costs by more than 50%. All these improvements help the Atlantic 10 avoid disruptions and keep their operations running smoothly.
“It is a lot more expensive. But we know it’s because the old company had never increased their fees, and they were losing a lot of money on us,” Perez explained. “For the services we get, everyone understood E-N Computers was worth the cost.”
The combination of regular onsite visits and forward-looking service has turned their IT from a reactive expense into a well-managed, reliable asset.
