IT Support that Boosts Productivity and Eliminates Downtime
To keep your operations efficient, you need to be able to rely on your technology. But frustrations, slowdowns, and downtime can waste valuable time and lead to increased costs and missed opportunities.
Our IT support services focus on 1) optimizing your systems to reduce issues and bottlenecks and 2) providing quick and responsive service when problems do occur.
Critical Infrastructure Monitoring & Management
IT infrastructure refers to the computers, servers, switches, routers, cabling, access points, and other components that move data through your offices and around the world. When it’s working properly, you don’t even notice it’s there — but when there’s a slowdown, problem, or outage, you’ll quickly find out how critical it is.
Reliable and secure infrastructure is the key to keeping your company productive, especially in the following areas:
Workstations and Mobile Devices: Any employee who uses a computer needs a fast and reliable workstation, as well as a connection to your network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Whether involved in production management, engineering, or support roles, your staff depend on their computers to do their jobs and keep the work moving.
Our technicians and engineers are ready to help your staff troubleshoot one-time problems and solve ongoing issues so that they can get back to work quickly.
Smart Manufacturing and CAM: The machines on your shop floor also depend on good connectivity to your network. Whether your staff are monitoring output, troubleshooting quality issues, or using the latest rapid manufacturing techniques, they depend on being able to connect to equipment quickly and reliably. But you also need to make sure that network is secure from hackers, spies, and saboteurs.
With our managed network solutions, you’ll know that your equipment is staying connected while the bad guys stay out.
ERP/MRP Infrastructure: Your ERP or MRP system is critical to your company’s operations. Without it, you’d be flying blind. That’s why it’s so important that the infrastructure that hosts your ERP software is as reliable and secure as possible, and that you have backups and disaster recovery plans in place that can be implemented quickly.
Anticipating Problems, Minimizing Impact
You wouldn’t run a critical machine without spare parts on hand — and someone with the skills to get the machine up again after a failure. The same is true of your IT systems. Our team can help you to plan for IT problems and make sure that you have the resources to get up and running quickly. Downtime happens. But by anticipating, planning, and budgeting for likely scenarios, you can minimize the impact of an IT failure on your operations.
Our managed services include remote monitoring of your servers and network infrastructure, as well as regular preventative maintenance. This means we can detect problems before they turn into costly outages and downtime. And with our secure cloud backup and disaster recovery services, your data is protected from even a worst case scenario.
IT Strategy and Budgeting for Manufacturers
Keeping your IT systems running is important, but it’s not the only area that requires attention. Our managed IT plans include regular strategic consulting sessions designed to keep IT aligned with your overall business strategy.
Your IT Strategy Roadmap
For manufacturers, surprises are rarely a welcome thing. This is especially true when it comes to planning your IT strategy and budget for the coming years. At E-N Computers, our account management team works with key personnel in your organization to plan and budget for upgrades, major repairs, and optimizations that will keep your operations running smoothly without unwelcome surprises.
When it comes to making decisions about the future of your IT needs, you don’t need to go it alone. Our Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) and Fractional Chief Technology Officer (fractional CTO) are ready to advise your leadership on major technology decisions and help you understand the business impact of projects like cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, or office relocations. And once you’re ready to move forward with a project, our expert project management team is there to help you keep it on schedule and under budget.
Cloud Solutions for Tomorrow’s Workforce
The COVID-19 pandemic emphasized the need for flexible yet secure workflow solutions that allow employees to do their jobs from anywhere. Even after the pandemic is gone, the mobile workforce is here to stay.
A cloud solution like Microsoft 365 can help you to stay flexible and competitive. Office 365 includes email, calendar, document management, and more — accessible from anywhere in the world while maintaining high-grade security. More advanced features like Microsoft Dynamics can help you optimize all areas of your business.
We can help you plan your migration to the cloud and be there to support you in the future. With the right tools and integrations, you can take advantage of the latest cloud technology without disrupting your ongoing operations.
Cybersecurity and Compliance for Manufacturing
From nation-state threat actors to underground cybercriminals, the manufacturing sector faces serious cybersecurity challenges. To address these threats, both government and private industry are demanding more security from their supply chain. Vendors and contractors now face a complex regulatory landscape that directly impacts your IT resources.
CMMC, DFARS, NIST and ITAR
Manufacturers involved in defense contracting need to be up to speed on the latest Department of Defense cybersecurity regulations. The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is the latest evolution of the requirements that will soon impact all DoD contractors. It incorporates requirements that were specified in NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-171 and DFARS Clause252.204-7012 (DFARS 7012), as well as additional requirements unique to CMMC.
CMMC specifies 130 practices, or controls, that contractors and subcontractors must implement. Then, a third-party auditor must certify your compliance with these controls in order to bid on contracts or subcontracts with a specified certification level. These regulations are expected to go into effect in 2025, but any organization that depends on government contract work should take steps now to prepare.
We can also help you implement ITAR controls including Microsoft Office 365 GCC High.
E-N Computers is already helping manufacturers in Virginia to plan and implement their CMMC compliance projects. Our consultants and engineers can help you to identify the gaps in your cybersecurity posture and build a plan to get compliant. Then, our project management team can help you to implement industry-standard practices and solutions while staying on-schedule and under budget. Two of our veteran engineers are Registered Practitioners with The Cyber AB, and ENC is a Registered Practitioner Organization, which validates our expertise as a CMMC consultants.
ISO 27001 – Information Security Management
The DoD isn’t the only organization worried about supply chain cybersecurity. Private industry loses billions each year to corporate espionage, cyberattacks, and other threats — many of which originate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
The ISO 27001 Information Security Management certification is an excellent way to show your partners that you are serious about cybersecurity. The standard specifies 93 security controls across four sections that must be implemented and certified by a third-party auditor. The certifying body may then conduct random audits to ensure continued compliance with the controls.
E-N Computers can help you identify the technical and policy controls that you need to implement in order to achieve ISO 27001 certification. Then, our team of experts can help you to design, implement, and document solutions that will bring you into compliance.
Even if ISO or CMMC certification isn’t required for your vertical, improving your cybersecurity is a worthwhile investment for manufacturers of all sizes. A cyber incident can be expensive, not just in lost productivity but in lost trust and ongoing cleanup costs.
E-N Computers has helped dozens of Virginia manufacturers to keep their systems secure from the latest cyber threats. Our managed IT solutions provide cost-effective protection for your critical systems.
Physical Security and Loss Prevention
While cybersecurity threats are what makes headlines, physical security is still an issue for manufacturers. Loss prevention, facility monitoring, and access control can be simplified by using a cloud-based, fully integrated system from E-N Computers.
We install and support Avigilon cloud-managed access control and security camera systems. These state-of-the-art systems can be monitored and managed from anywhere, and provide you with a birds-eye view of your facility.
