Case Study

Meeting compliance requirements without distraction

NovaTech, headquartered in Central Virginia, provides high-end
engineering and manufacturing services to the nuclear, defense, and
industrial markets.

The business has an advanced technical focus, but employees were distracting by trying to find time to fix IT problems, and they couldn’t keep up with compliance regulations.

“Obviously we were a little behind the power curve meeting security
requirements, hardware standards, and the like,” said Jonathan F., security manager at NovaTech. “We just didn’t have the time to get things in motion.”

NovaTech considered hiring a full-time IT person but quickly realized that they would need more support than a single hire could provide.

The E-N Computers team got to work quickly to reinforce NovaTech’s network and provide front-line support for their employees. The projects team planned and executed a postponed server upgrade project with efficiency

E-N Computers also started helping NovaTech strengthen their cybersecurity posture and work toward compliance with new government regulations. This helped the company to maintain its competitive advantage in a changing marketplace.

As a result of their partnership with E-N Computers, the staff at NovaTech are able to turn their focus back to core business operations and client support.

“Regardless of what the issue is, it seems like there’s always somebody at ENC who knows how to solve it,” said Jonathan. “ENC does a good job at bringing the right people to bear to tackle the toughest problems.”

What you get with managed IT for government contractors

With a fully managed IT plan from E-N Computers, you get a complete IT department to provide support, maintenance, monitoring, and strategic improvements.

Improved technology that opens doors

Your systems are reviewed and documented. Urgent technical gaps are remedied so that day-to-day support will be a success. Remote monitoring and management software is installed so we can detect issues and help quickly. Your IT liaison and staff are trained on how to request support.

Reliable operations that protect your reputation

You get access to our US-based help desk, available five different ways. After-hours support is on hand for emergencies. Regularly scheduled onsite visits help to keep your documentation updated and resolve problems early. We resolve most issues in about 30 minutes, and we keep a close watch on them so that every issue is handled promptly and completely.

Cost management that improves your margins

Government contractors face unique IT challenges that generic MSPs don’t understand. Between security requirements, compliance documentation, and the need for audit-ready systems, costs spiral quickly. We’ll show you how to reduce IT costs while investing in technology that wins business. This includes making sure your spending aligns with government accounting standards, reducing the administrative burden on your internal team, and budgeting for regular hardware replacements to avoid unnecessary downtime.

Automated security that meets requirements

We automatically update your Windows workstations, servers, and network equipment to protect against security threats and improve performance. When automatic updates fail, or important business software can’t be updated automatically, we do manual updates.

Strategic planning that supports growth

Quarterly reviews provide an opportunity to discuss successes and opportunities to improve. We work with you to develop a technology roadmap and budget that supports your goals, including compliance. These meetings help to make sure that your technology is serving you, not weighing you down.

Proactive monitoring that prevents outages

Around the clock monitoring and incident response protects you against malware, cyber threats, hardware failures, and more. When our monitoring tools detect an issue, a ticket is created for our technicians to follow up. As a result, you get a more secure and performant network.

Business continuity that protects your contracts

We work with you to identify what data you possess, where it is stored, how frequently you need to back it up, and how long you need to retain it for. By default, we provide you with daily onsite and offsite backups of your data, retained for 30 days. Whether you store data locally or in the cloud, there will be a plan in place to protect you against data loss.

Also, we help you use the Microsoft Purview portal to manage user activity and data security within your Microsoft 365 environment.
